Title: Restaurant General Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations
Overtime: Exempt
Summary of Position:
Conduct daily operations and overall efficiency and profitability of restaurant. Work on a
daily basis to strive to improve the overall performance of the restaurant
Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Oversee the entire operation through the combined efforts of the Chef and be
responsible in all aspects of the operation.
§ Control all cost areas such as food, bar, and labor and controlled expenses with the
annual plan figures
§ To maintain a high level of cleanliness in all areas of the Restaurant
§ Interview, hire and train exceptionally qualified individuals who will improve and
maintain the high level of services we provide
§ Enforce all Waterfront Enterprises, Inc. Company Policies and Procedures
§ Be involved in evaluating all employee’s, in written form, every six months
§ Be involved in a food or bar inventory every period to insure its accuracy and
completeness
§ Oversee the maintenance and care of all restaurant equipment
§ Increase sales by consistent product and service in a clean and organized environment
§ Be a part of the team, help wherever needed
§ Evaluate and post all invoices in a timely manner
§ Be responsible for all monetary transactions throughout your shift
§ Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and/or service
§ Continue to evaluate and train all service employees each and every day
§ Make sure each guest leaves with a positive experience
Qualifications:
§ 3-5 years of prior restaurant management experience
§ Bachelors degree is desirable
§ Must be a team player and demonstrate strong organizational skills
§ Must have excellent interpersonal skills and polite manner for dealing with public
§ Excellent verbal and telephone skills to be able to communicate clearly and effectively
with our guests
§ Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
§ Be flexible and willing to assist as needed to ensure all restaurant standards are
met
Physical Requirements:
§ Must be able to lift up to and over 40 lbs
§ Be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
