PLEASE NOTE: This is a seasonal position for the month of January 2025. Individuals in this role will be required to work every day January 5th-January 26th, up to 12 hours per day.

Overview
As a member of our Guest Relations Staff, you’ll be the welcoming face of the National Western Stock Show, providing exceptional customer service to all event attendees. Positioned at various posts across the National Western grounds – both indoors and outdoors – your role will include greeting guests, taking tickets, answering questions, monitoring gates and entrances, and helping guests find their way to event areas.

Reports to: Senior Manager, Guest Relations
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and check tickets/access badges at event entrances, ensuring a welcoming and organized arrival experience.
- Answer guest inquiries about the event, facility, schedule, and amenities, helping them navigate the grounds.
- Monitor gates, doorways, and designated entry points, ensuring safety protocols and event policies are followed.
- Direct guests to specific areas and events, assisting with wayfinding and providing general information as needed.
- Provide a positive experience for all guests, handling concerns or questions with a friendly and helpful attitude.

Desired Experience, Skills, & Abilities
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus, with an emphasis on friendliness, patience, and attentiveness.
- Fluent in English with clear communication abilities; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Candidates must be available for early mornings, late nights, and weekends throughout the 16 days of Stock Show (January 11th-January 26th), with shifts up to 12 hours per day.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members to support a smooth guest experience.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and moving between posts as needed.
Working Conditions
National Western Complex is a multi-purpose indoor and outdoor commercial and agricultural complex where dusty conditions and animals may exist. While performing the duties of this job, work is performed both indoors and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied surfaces. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with large crowds.
Compensation & Benefits
- This is a seasonal, hourly position with a pay rate of $19.00/hour.
- Paid sick time offered at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
- Shift differentials offered – earn more for working nights!
