Shift Manager

Rate of payStarting at $16 per hour

Summary: Manages a shift of an Arby’s restaurant toward the attainment of agreed upon company goals and profits, while working within the framework of the company’s philosophy, purpose, policies and objectives by performing the following duties.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  1. Enhances the overall guest experience by providing outstanding product/service to increase sales and profit.*


  1. Assists in providing team members with the appropriate training.*


  1. Executes systems daily to ensure a clean and organized restaurant while delivering quality food, fast and friendly service.*


  1. Utilizes all management tools to keep neat, accurate, and current records.*


  1. Maintains high standards of service throughout the operational day through leading by example.*


  1. Supervises and motivates team members to perform to their highest possible level of ability.*


  1. Communicates openly and honestly in a fair, respectful manner with peers, subordinates, and superiors about plans, progress, and problems.*


  1. Provides leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a commitment to “excellence”.*


  1. Assists with coaching, correcting and the required documentation during a work shift while making recommendations to upper management regarding disciplinary actions.*


  1. Maintains and continuously improves high standard of cleanliness and assumes responsibility for preventative maintenance of a unit.*


  1. Maintains an attitude of flexibility that allows for performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.*


  1. Ensures compliance with company cash handling policies and the accurate and timely delivery of bank deposits as scheduled.*


  1. Shows up on time and is present for work.*


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, internet software, and POS.


Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. AS/AA degree and 2 years of experience is preferred, but not required.
