Chick-fil-A Business Management Internship
Chick-fil-A Crossroads Center is looking for candidates to join our Business Management Internship Program. The position is a paid internship taking place over the course of one semester with the possibility to extend. The purpose of this program is to identify and hire students who have an interest in receiving hands-on experience in operating a business. Based upon performance, interns will have the opportunity to apply for Leadership during the
following semester. In a leadership role, you will have the opportunity to apply
managerial skills learned during the course of the internship through training new
Team Members, leading shifts, and making business decisions. Ultimately, candidates can progress to be a Leader, learning and growing every day with the most caring company in America.
Overview
- Challenging experiential learning opportunity
- Practice business skills in a hands-on environment and learn about Chick-fil-A culture
- Social and networking opportunities
- Work 15-25 hours per week, consisting of in-store operations, weekly development meetings, and a semester-long project
- Paid internship - starting at $14/hour
- Duration: One semester with the possibility to extend to full year
- Internship Dates: January - May, May - August, September - December
- Potential for course credit
Candidate Requirements
- Actively working to complete an undergraduate degree
- Able to work a minimum of 15 hours/week
- Undergraduate students 2nd year and above preferred
- Authorized to work in United States of America and fluently speak English
Responsibilities
Front of House Operations
- Learn and become proficient in various Front of House operational positions
- Based on operational performance, opportunities to learn to train new Team Members will be provided in the second half of the semester
Professional Development
- Learn from Chick-fil-A Leaders about a variety of aspects of business management, such as:
- Sales Tracking and Projection
- Customer Experience
- Leadership Structure and Development
- Sales and Brand Growth
- Financial Return
- One-on-one developmental meetings with Executive Director monthly
- Access to professional development opportunities
- Routine meetings and professional development with Internship Coordinator
- Gain project management skills through completing a semester-long project
- Project will be based on the needs of the business and area of interest of the intern
