The primary responsibility of the Kitchen and Bath Designer is to work with customers to create functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen and bathroom spaces. This role involves a combination of creative design, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to bring clients’ visions to life while considering practical aspects such as functionality, safety, and budget constraints.
The person in this role is the trusted consultant for both business and personal customers to design their spaces and follow through on projects to make sure they are implemented successfully. This is a fast-paced, active environment that will require focus, flexibility, and time management skills.
• Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their preferences, needs, and budget constraints.
• Meticulously gather information on existing spaces, including measurements, layout, and any specific requirements.
• Create innovative and practical kitchen and bathroom designs that align with the client’s vision and requirements.
• Utilize 20/20 design software to develop detailed drawings, floor plans, and renderings for client presentation.
• Select suitable materials, finishes, fixtures, and appliances to enhance the overall design.
• Utilize tracking systems to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, using effective prioritization, working quickly and accurately, and staying within deadlines.
• Ensure delivery is complete and there are no missing items. Follow up with clients during delivery and installation to ensure a smooth process.
• Maintain bid folders for future updates, such as price increases, construction changes, etc.
• Manage in-house builder accounts, addressing billing questions, spec changes, special quotes, etc.
• Stay up-to-date on current industry trends, innovations, and materials in kitchen and bath design.
• Attend industry events, workshops, and conferences to continuously enhance design knowledge.
• Maintains sales & gross margin and is responsible for maintaining discounts and reviews by the store business discount policy.
