Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting a positive working environment. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our store by leading, coaching, and developing our team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership & Management:
  • Assist in managing daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of employees to maintain high standards of service and food quality.
  • Schedule staff according to business needs, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure all customers receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues effectively, turning negative experiences into positive outcomes.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage stock orders, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and operational standards.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to enhance store performance.
  • Financial Performance:
  • Assist in managing store budgets, labor costs, and profitability.
  • Participate in financial planning, sales forecasting, and cost control.
  • Team Development:
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop staff through training programs.
  • Foster a culture of learning and development within the team.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
  • Support local store marketing initiatives to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Engage with the community to enhance store visibility.


Qualifications:


  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role preferred, in the food service or retail industry.
  • Proven track record in managing teams and operations.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Basic math skills for inventory and cash management.
  • Proficiency in using POS and inventory management systems.
  • Attributes:
  • Passion for the Jimmy John's brand and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks like bending, reaching, and stooping.
