We are looking to add a Full-time & Part-time Licensed Massage Therapist to join the team!
The Massage Therapist position will provide exceptional massage and spa treatments with the highest levels of professionalism, a customized approach, and over-the-top hospitality that improve the guest’s overall sense of well-being and enhances their spa experience. This includes services such as Deep Tissue massage, Reflexology, Pre-Natal massage, and body treatments that exceed the guest’s expectations. In addition, they will assist with keeping all areas clean including laundry, locker room and restrooms while exhibiting courteous hospitality to all guests. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.
Typical day in the life as a Licensed Massage Therapist:
- Perform various massage modalities, body treatments and any other services offered by the Spa following proper protocol.
- Demonstrate and execute proper guest communication regarding treatments, products, or homecare retail items.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Escort guests in and out of the treatment facility.
- Ensures all communication and interaction with internal and external guests to follow the standards set by Gervasi Vineyard.
- Tailors service to meet guest expectations, within reason.
- Maintains all standards, policies and procedures set forth by The Spa and Gervasi Vineyard employee Handbook.
- Responsible for explaining features and benefits of Spa products and services for guests.
- Responsible for preparation and timely execution of all appointments
- Monitors his/her appointment schedule.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Spa Manager, Supervisor, and leads.
- Working knowledge of all basic job duties within the Spa.
- Maintain proper body mechanics and remain attentive to your physical state.
- Demonstrate complete and thorough procedures for setting up and breaking down your assigned treatment room. Assist in the overall cleanliness and organization of the spa area. Follow all equipment protocols.
What are we looking for?
- 2 years of Massage Therapy experience (preferred)
- Knowledge with Book4Time software(preferred)
- Maintains State Licensing/Certification requirements.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Gervasi Management team from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the Spa Service industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the business including select evenings, regular weekends, and Holidays.
- Requires high energy, passion, and drive for the Spa and Salon industry.
- Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with State/Local and GV Destination rules and regulations for compliance with stated policies, safe/efficient operations, and required regulatory compliance. Employees who violate such requirements will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
