Position: Full-Time Vineyard Caretaker

Gervasi Vineyard has an opening for the exciting position of Vineyard Caretaker. The Vineyard Caretaker has daily tactical responsibility for the overall grape growing process and vineyard operation and supports Gervasi’s quality estate wines while maintaining viticultural and hospitality industry aesthetics. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors and working with their hands to help create a lasting product that everyone will enjoy.
This is a full-time position that requires a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the Vineyard and Winery operations. Majority of work is accomplished Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends during peak periods.

Qualifications: Minimum education: Highschool Diploma, some formal Enology or Viticultural education preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years hands-on vineyard work is desired; wine and/or beer production experience is a plus. Able to use hand tools (pruners, loppers, hand saw etc.) repeatedly throughout the work day. Able to walk on uneven ground, bend, stoop, and climb ladders without restrictions, and lift up to 50Lbs. Able to work in varying temperature and weather conditions depending on seasonal requirements. Ability to operate a small tractor with attached sprayer unit for application of pesticides.
Pay Rate: $18 – $22 per hour depending on experience.
