Sales Manager Position
The Sales Manager is the face of Techstyles to the Sales Rep force and the customer. It is responsible for promoting and enhancing the culture of Techstyles as the definitive industry leader in service and products. The Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of apparel, hardgoods, and stickers sales. This includes managing, training, and developing the sales reps, creating relationships with key customers, and generating additional revenue through new sales channels. Also, to create and oversee all sales marketing, including trade shows, visits to customers, Hayward Customer visits, and customer marketing campaigns. Creating and executing Sales dollar plans for the Company by working closely with customers and the sales reps and communicating the sales dollar plan and flow to the other managers at Techstyles. This role will also include sales growth incentives.
Sales Rep Management.
Sales reps report directly to this position, and the sales manager is responsible for the attraction, evaluation, coaching, training, hiring, and termination of the sales rep force. The sales manager should utilize detailed sales reports and create new reports to guide and advise the sales reps. Further, this position is the voice of the product to the reps and the
customers and teaches, trains, and educates product knowledge.
New Market Creation
Identify markets that would Generate additional revenue by Leveraging Techstyles' core expertise in markets beyond the Resort industry.
Customer Relationships and Sales
The sales manager is responsible for the Company's sales, which generates all of its revenue through the sales rep force.
To best execute this, the Sales Manager needs a working understanding of:
Techstyles attributes and the products offered.
The competition and how Techstyles distinguishes itself and can continue to distinguish itself in the marketplace
The individual needs of key customers.
The needs and idiosyncrasies of each territory.
Create relationships with individual customers.
Attend trade shows and monthly visits to customers and territories with the appropriate sales rep.
Internal Management Relationships
The sales manager should be working closely with:
1. The Product Development team provides native market feedback and perspective to improve the offering and understand the pricing pressures and limits. Feedback on fit and quality of shipping products. Further, the Sales manager needs to be a Techstyles product expert and understand the reason/nature of the seasonal product offering to communicate to the reps
and customers.
2. The sales manager and Sr. VP of Customer relations should be partnered in all matters of service and relationships.
3. Work with the Finance Manager on sales planning trends and opportunities.
4. Work closely with the inventory forecasting team on trends and data to help shape the in-stock and long-term planning needs for inventory.
Education and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in marketing or business administration.
- Three to five years of experience as a sales manager or merchandiser of apparel.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise with a proven positive sales performance track record.
- Proven ability to drive sales from plan to close.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
