PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

This position aims to assist all printers by mixing and providing inks, clean squeegees, flood bars, and offloading

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Must be able to see color.

o Running batches of ink at proper mixer settings and making ink adjustments as needed.

o Packaging finished products in various containers and applied labels.

o Cleaning and maintaining machines to standards.

o Uses color meter and/or spectrometer to match sample colors for customer orders.

o Must be able to execute sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, hand mixing, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds as necessary, and be able to stand for long periods.

o Mixing standard and matched color ink, and sample ink batches.

o Monitors the press schedule to formulate inks needed and the quantities of ink for upcoming jobs

o Clean squeegees and flood bars.

o Ensure ink is removed from used screens and returned to the proper bucket.

o Keep buckets clean enough to view labels.

o Balance workload to ensure all presses have a clean set of squeegees and flood bars.

o Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory and/or management personnel.

o Maintains a safe and orderly work environment.

o Complies with all established company safety policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

o High School Diploma or equivalent

o Ability to communicate effectively with employees

o Ability to drive results with minimal direction

o Multi-talented skill set and capable of making little or no errors in work duties

o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

o Knowledge of inks & mixing, color matching, and toning is a plus.

o Demonstrate good math

o Ability to read English

o Have attention to detail

o Be reliable to work assigned shift

o Be flexible to work overtime as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

o Standing for long periods, twisting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

o Demonstrated ability to work with hands.

o Must be able to work under pressure.

o Exposure to dirt, dust & noise.

o May be exposed to extreme temperature conditions & restricted ventilation.

o Ability to work various shifts and/or overtime is required.
