Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Evening Manager to oversee our restaurant's operations during the night shift. The Evening Manager will be responsible for managing the team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the overall efficiency and profitability of the restaurant during evening hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering a memorable dining experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate Front of House and Drive-Thru restaurant teams and support kitchen team during the night shift. Assign duties, provide training, coach, give breaks, hold Team Members accountable and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Maintain a high standard of customer service by greeting guests, addressing inquiries and concerns, and ensuring that all guests have a positive dining experience. Lead by example in providing attentive and friendly service.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to ensure that all products meet the restaurant's standards. Conduct regular inspections of the dining area, kitchen, drive-thru, property, and restrooms to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies to ensure adequate stock for the evening shift. Place orders with suppliers as needed and oversee inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in managing the restaurant's financial performance during the evening shift, including monitoring sales, labor costs, and expenses. Implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability while controlling costs and maintaining budget targets.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce all health and safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and clean working environment for staff and guests. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution: Handle any operational issues, customer complaints, or conflicts that arise during the evening shift in a prompt and effective manner. Utilize strong problem-solving skills and diplomacy to resolve issues and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster open communication and teamwork among staff members and management team. Relay important information, updates, and instructions effectively to leadership team to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Business Needs and Scheduling: Fulfill the needs of the business based on sales volume and operational demands. Minimum expected hours are 45-50 hours per week, Monday through Saturday, with required availability on Fridays and Saturdays. Flexibility to adapt to the business’s schedule is essential.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced dining environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, kitchen management, and front-of-house procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Flexibility to work evening and night shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, but must be available for occasional Sunday meetings and events.


Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education or certification in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.


Work Environment:


The Evening Manager will primarily work in a energetic restaurant environment, overseeing operations during the night shift. This role involves standing, walking, working outside in adverse weather conditions, and lifting or carrying of items. Interaction with customers, staff, and vendors is

a key aspect of the position, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
