Job Description
The Shift Leader is responsible for supervising and managing the daily activities and operations of their designated shift. They are accountable for ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, while maintaining high levels of customer service, quality control, and safety standards. The Shift Leader will also lead and motivate team members to achieve their goals and objectives in accordance with company policies and guidelines by being fully present and available in the Front of House.
Operations Management
• Monitor and supervise team members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the shift.
• Ensure that all quality control, safety, and operating procedures are being followed by all team members.
• Assist in the training and development of new team members.
Customer Service
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Ensure that all customer inquiries and concerns are handled promptly and to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Ensure that all team members provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Team Management
• Direct and motivate team members to meet the shift’s objectives and performance targets.
• Provide on-going coaching and feedback to improve individual and team performance.
• Train new and existing team members on procedures, policies, and guidelines.
• Foster a positive culture and ensure team members are following policies and guidelines.
Key Requirements
• Possess excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge and experience in food service, retail, or hospitality industry.
• Possess knowledge of order fulfillment and cash handling procedures.
• Good at problem-solving, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Previous experience in the retail, hospitality, or food service industry required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
