A Busser helps play an important part in providing Guests with an excellent meal and service experience. The Busser is responsible for efficiently clearing, cleaning and resetting tables, while assisting food servers in all aspects of guest table service, maximizing table turns and maintaining restaurant flow.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shift
- Ability to balance serving tray when transferring for food order
- Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an 6-8 hour shift
- Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items
- Ability to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking area
- Ability to clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Ability to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machine
- Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours
Education & Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
- California Food Handler Certificate
- Previous Busser experience is preferred
- Fluent in English / Preferred languages: Mandarin and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Guests' food and drink is deliveres to the correct table.
- Checked finished product for plate presentation before bring out from kitchen.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to deliver food in a prompt manner
- Assists the server as necessary to ensure that the guest is served immediately.
- Clean and reset tables efficiently before, during and after service periods to turn tables
- Removing trash as needed
- Work as a team, assisting all guests’ and team members’ needs and inquiries.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
