Back of House Coordinator

Rate of pay$23 - 25 per hour

OVERVIEW


The BOH Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the restaurant's daily Back of House operations and developing Shift Managers and Team Leaders. The BOH Operations Coordinator is expected to be “on the floor” much of their time, particularly during peak hours or busy seasons, to keep a real-time pulse on key operational elements and connect shoulder-to-shoulder with Shift Managers, Team Leaders, and Team Members. He or she must be skilled in handling stressful working conditions, be an excellent multi-tasker, and be able to deal with frequent interruptions calmly and decisively to ensure restaurant operations are running smoothly and in alignment with Chick-fil-A and JT3 Hospitality’s operations goals. The BOH Operations Coordinator is to lead by example and provide continual coaching and development to our team to ensure excellence and growth within our back-of-house team.  


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Back of House Operations Coordinator, under the direction and supervision of the Director Team and Operator, is responsible for managing and executing the following:

  • Food Safety and Quality within our back-of-house operations
  • Leadership Management (Shift Managers)
  • Train, coach, and develop restaurant shift managers to be effective and efficient leaders
  • Hold managers accountable for their job responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily shift manager huddles and meetings
  • Operations Management
  • Daily schedule management (call-outs, etc.)
  • Ensure Operational Excellence (Food Safety, Cleanliness, Speed of Service, Taste/Quality of Food)
  • Work together with front-of-house leadership to ensure operational excellence
  • Work with the Director Team to identify potential remedial training for our BOH team.   
  • Ensure operations are running smoothly by identifying bottlenecks
  • Cover leadership gaps as needed in operations  
  • Conduct end-of-month inventory counts with the Coordinator and Director Team
  • Serve as a point of contact during Health Department and other 3rd party vendors' compliance visits
  • Assist Director Team Labor Scheduling & Management
  • Create Team Member schedules according to performance goals while maintaining Operational Excellence
  • Work with the Operator to meet labor goals.
  • Make real-time adjustments (add or deduct hours) to schedule according to sales.
  • HotSchedules Management for BOH Team Members
  • Manage Team Member requests, availability approvals, as well as shift swap approvals

REQUIRED ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of a High School Diploma
  • Full-time commitment with the ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs within a 40-hour-per-week schedule
  • At least four years experience working in a restaurant
