Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize exposure and financial impact.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure the effectiveness of risk management initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of operational risks.
Safety Compliance:
- Stay current with local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure company-wide compliance.
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address safety hazards.
- Implement training programs to promote a safety-conscious culture across the organization.
Incident Response:
- Develop and oversee incident response plans to address emergencies and accidents promptly.
- Conduct post-incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and effective response to incidents.
Employee Training and Engagement:
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and encourage active participation in safety initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding safety-related concerns and initiatives.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of safety programs, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership on the status of risk management and safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in risk management and safety leadership roles.
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership in fostering a safety-conscious culture.
