Job Title: Childcare Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Childcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children while their parents are away. The Childcare Assistant will work under the supervision of the Lead Teacher and assist with daily activities, including feeding, diapering, and engaging in age-appropriate play and learning activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily care of children, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Engage in age-appropriate play and learning activities with children
  • Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and curriculum provided by the Lead Teacher
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members
  • Observe and document children's behavior and progress
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit on the floor and interact with children at their level
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
