Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing preventative and therapeutic dental care to patients, educating them on proper oral hygiene techniques, and assisting the dentist with procedures as needed. The Dental Hygienist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean and sterile environment in the dental office.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform dental cleanings and screenings to identify oral health issues
  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
  • Assist the dentist with procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed
  • Ensure a clean and sterile environment in the dental office
  • Order and maintain dental supplies and equipment

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
  • Current state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience with dental software and digital x-rays preferred

Physical Demands: The Dental Hygienist will be required to stand for extended periods of time, as well as bend, stoop, and reach. They may also be required to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
