Job Title: Hospice Aid

Job Summary: The Hospice Aid will provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families during end-of-life care. They will assist with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and ensure the patient's comfort and dignity are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
  • Monitor and report any changes in the patient's condition to the hospice team
  • Administer medication and assist with medical equipment as needed
  • Ensure the patient's comfort and dignity are maintained at all times
  • Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation

Requirements:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred
  • Experience in hospice or palliative care preferred
  • Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in various environments including patient homes and healthcare facilities
