Job Title: Day Porter

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facility during the day. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, common areas, and high-traffic areas, as well as performing light maintenance tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, and high-traffic areas
  • Empty trash and recycling bins
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
  • Perform light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and replacing air filters
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down events as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests and employees

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Physical Demands: The Day Porter will be required to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time. They will also be required to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds. The Day Porter may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials, and must follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
