Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, chimneys, fireplaces, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. The Bricklayer will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the layout and dimensions of structures
  • Measure and cut materials to the required size and shape
  • Mix mortar and other materials to the appropriate consistency
  • Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials in horizontal and vertical rows, ensuring that they are level and plumb
  • Use hand and power tools to cut and shape materials as needed
  • Apply finishing touches to structures, such as pointing and sealing
  • Repair and replace damaged bricks and other materials
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and engineers, to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required specifications

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bricklayer
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
  • Excellent knowledge of masonry materials and techniques
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Education and Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in masonry
  • Certification in masonry or a related field is a plus
