Cashier Job Description
This Restaurant’s success depends on us meeting our customers’ expectations when it comes to Customer Service, Food Quality, Cleanliness and Food Safety (food that is safe to eat).
We have been open for 20 + years and it is because we have succeeded in offering our customers a positive experience when it comes to Customer Service, Food Quality, Food Safety, and a clean Dining Room experience.
We take a lot of Pride in the reputation we have worked hard to build here. We want to continue that reputation during these trying times.
If you are looking for a Cashier (Customer Service) position in our restaurant, you must be willing to perform your job using Customer Service skills that meet our needs as well as the needs of our customers.
The first question we ask you is “Do you enjoy and feel comfortable talking to strangers?”
If the answer is yes, we need to talk about the skills you will be required to use on your job every shift.
If the answer is No, then we would suggest a back of house position unless you can convince us that you will learn and use all the skills listed below.
CASHIER – SKILLS REQUIRED
- Customer Service is always your top priority and focus every shift.
- Food Safety rules must be followed always!
- Teamwork is required to maximize our Customer Service levels.
- Good Listening Skills are critical to getting the customer’s order correct.
- Speaking Clearly, Loud Enough, and Slow enough for the customers to understand you is required to maximize your interaction with our customers.
- Conversations with the customer require full sentences when asking questions.
- You will be required to count back change from the receipt amount to the amount tendered.
- Thanking every customer for their business is a fundamental part of customer service.
- Keeping your work area and the dining room clean is always your second priority, when you do not have a customer at your station.
- You will be asked by management at times to perform a task that helps another team member.

Drive Thru Job Description
- The Drive Thru Person requires all the skills of the cashier with the following items added:
- The Customer in the Drive Thru Lane is always your priority.
- When there is no Customer in Drive Thru, your priority is cleaning your station and keeping dishes caught up in the Dish Washing Room.
- You can assist the Coordinator with Sweets and Treats for Dining Room orders. Remember, the customer in Drive Thru is always your priority.
