Team Member performs many tasks to see that our guests are satisfied. The nature of the restaurant industry is fast paced, especially at LJS. This fast-paced environment requires Team Members to work quickly, diligently and effectively under pressure. Most transactions occur in a short period of time, requiring Team Members to be friendly even during stressful, fast paced peak periods. Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
While performing duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; talk and hear to communicate with guests and employees; and taste/smell. The employee is frequently required to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to cooking fumes. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 14 years of age. No previous experience required.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and training materials.
The successful Team Member is able to::
- Greet and positively engage guests in the restaurant.
- Accurately accept the guests' orders and process payments.
- Address and resolve all guest inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable area for guests and team members.
- Ensure that all orders are properly handled and presented with the greatest care and concern for accuracy, food safety and quality, as well as guest satisfaction.
- Keep service area and kitchen stocked; clean dining room tables and floor; clean and restock restrooms.
- Be friendly, helpful, and positive in serving our guests
- Prepare products by procedure
- Clean and bus tables, do dishes, clean work areas, sweep and mop floors
- Clean restrooms
- Empty trash and clean drains
- Be flexible in the hours/days you will work (including weekends and holidays)
- Be willing to take direction
- Possess the ability to work under pressure, and with a sense of urgency
- Complete other assigned jobs that ensure guest satisfaction
- Treat other Team Members with courtesy and respect
